Missouri has issued 4,584 state agent ID cards to work in medical cannabis facilities, reports the state’s Department of Health and Senior Services. This, along with non-ID required jobs, adds up to over 5,000 positions in the state’s cannabis industry, says the Missouri Medical Cannabis Trade Association. So far, state regulators have approved for operation 143 dispensaries, 29 cultivation facilities, 40 manufacturers, 17 transport companies, and 6 testing labs.

Last month Missouri reported $21.73 million in sales for its medical cannabis program.
