Grassroots Cannabis inches closer to sale

CuraLeaf CEO Joseph Lusardi tells New Cannabis Ventures that federal regulatory hurdles to the company’s acquisition of Chicago-based Grassroots Cannabis are cleared. 

While there is still work to do with state regulators, Lusardi anticipates closing the transaction this “spring”. The $875 million stock and cash deal was first announced last July. 

Jushi Holdings’ dispensaries now BEYOND / HELLO

Vancouver-based cannabis company Jushi Holdings, which operates dispensaries in Normal and Sauget (just across the Mississippi River from St. Louis), rebranded its stores under as BEYOND / HELLO. Visitors to the company’s website can now also shop online and pick-up their goods curbside. 

Green Thumb Industries close to break even, analysts say

Seventeen analysts queried by Simply Wall Street believe Chicago-based Green Thumb Industries is “within months” of breaking even. Further, they anticipate a $47 million profit for the company in 2021. Green Thumb is scheduled to have its quarterly earnings call on May 14.
