Cresco punts on acquisition

Durings its earnings call earlier this week, Chicago-based Cresco Labs announced that it had terminated a planned $282.5 million acquisition of Tryke, owner of the Reef-branded dispensaries which operate in Phoenix, Las Vegas and other markets. 

What’s next for NewLake? 

NewLake Capital Partners, the cannabis-focused Real Estate Investment Trust co-founded by Green Thumb Industries founding CEO Pete Kadens and Avante online debt broker Al Goldstein, is more than 80 percent invested in a $100 million fund it initiated in 2019.

In an interview with New Cannabis Ventures, NewLake CEO Anthoney Coniglio discussed what the firm is seeking with its remaining $15 million to $20 million in “dry powder” and what other opportunities lay ahead for the firm and industry at large.
