Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker.

Illinois’ cannabis dispensary license lottery bill will likely not be signed until after the July 4th holiday, according to multiple Springfield sources. Almost a month has transpired since the bill creating 120 new dispensary licenses passed both houses of the Illinois legislature. The delay is due, in part, to the fact that accounting firm KPMG is retabulating scores.

Asked for a bill signing date, a spokesperson for Gov. J.B. Pritzker could not provide details.
