Hoping to get a jump on things before this month’s expected announcement of Illinois’ craft grow licenses, craft grow applicant and cannabis attorney Scott Redman is announcing the launch of the Illinois Independent Craft Grower Association

Aiming to serve craft growers unaffiliated with existing vertically integrated cannabis companies, Redman says, “There is power in numbers. Those craft growers that don’t have affiliation with common ownership and common control will be facing a lot of the same issues and maybe those issues can get solved through networking and cooperation with those in the same boat.”

Redman says he launched the organization in advance of the license announcements so that when licenses are announced, craft growers will, “have a place to organize around from the start.”
