The Illinois Department of Agriculture does not yet have a date for the announcement of craft grow, infuser, and transporter licenses, an agency spokesperson told Grown In Friday. Last June, Illinois Cannabis Czar Toi Hutchinson told a hearing held by Cook County Commissioners that craft grow, infuser, and transporter licenses would be announced in mid-August.

In addition, asked about accounting firm KPMG’s role in scoring the applications, the agency said, “Pursuant to its contract with the Department of Agriculture, KPMG followed a Conflict of Interest Mitigation Plan to ensure that the KPMG team engaged on this project did not have a conflict of interest regarding any of the applicants and to ensure that no scorer had a personal conflict of interest due to a relationship with an applicant.”

The Department of Agriculture spokesperson also said the agency plans to distribute scores to applicants once the scoring process is complete.
