Dispensary 33 matches donations to Chicago Community Bond Fund
Andersonville-based Dispensary 33 is matching up to $5,500 in donations from customers who support the Chicago Community Bond Fund, which is “committed to long-term relationship building and organizing with people most directly impacted by criminalization and policing.”
Green Thumb Industries co-founder Pete Kadens joins KushCo board of directors
Pete Kadens, founder and initial CEO of Chicago-based Green Thumb Industries, joined the board of directors of KushCo a Cyprus, California-based “provider of ancillary products to the legal cannabis and CBD industries.” Since stepping down from his operational role at GTI, Kadens last year also was a founding investor of Chicago-based cannabis Real Estate Investment Trust NewLake Capital.
Cresco eyes another River North location
After opening (and then temporarily closing due to looting) the first cannabis dispensary in River North, Chicago-based Cresco Labs is eyeing a second neighborhood location at 67-73 W. Chicago Avenue. Cresco along with Chicago-based Pharmacann last November won a city lottery to open dispensaries in downtown Chicago.
