As of March 10, six courier license holders had received commence operation certificates. There are also currently six microbusiness licenses with commence operation orders, though they do not all necessarily have delivery endorsements.

Although the state has not set a cap on the number of cultivation licenses it will allow, there has been some discussion of setting a state aggregate canopy limit of 1.25 million square feet.

The measure would outlaw gifting cannabis in any scenario where there is also a donation made as well as cannabis advertising on billboards.
A court precedent on state residency requirements in cannabis, which eluded the original attack on Maine’s requirement, would have implications across the country.
The bill would make Rhode Island the fifth state in New England to legalize adult use cannabis, and it would also set aside licenses reserved for social equity candidates.
At this point several organizations have submitted public testimony in support of the bill, with no comments in opposition.
Three affidavits submitted by three town agencies all have essentially the same language when recounting the alleged violations.
Rhode Island allows medical patients to possess up to 12 adult plants and 12 immature plants at one time.
