Following one of the largest cannabis recalls in the country, the Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency (MRA) released Executive Initiatives 2021, a three-year plan to “establish Michigan as the national model.”
“We have published a strategic plan for the last several years. It is an important tool for big picture planning and for ensuring the mission and goals of the agency are aligned from the executive level through each division and section,” MRA executive director Andrew Brisbo wrote in a statement to Grown In.
With three listed goals, the plan focuses on improving regulatory consistency and efficiency, sustaining the state’s position as a “leader” in the cannabis space through proactive policy, establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships. In the past, Brisbo has announced agency priorities, but this is the first written plan released by the agency.
